I try to open my dry mouth, and I try to keep my eyes open. I see a blond man wearing a sweaty tee shirt, holding something in his arms and bouncing in a rhythm I can’t understand. ‘You are just as beautiful as your mother.’ I hear his tear drop land on a baby’s sleeping face. Sebastian turns around and our eyes meet. It was all over. It was all over and I won. I survived. I and my baby girl, Vita, survived.
